We love our Volunteers

Angels in Fur Dog Rescue would be nothing without its dedicated volunteers. There are many ways that you can add your help to the work we do. There are many other things that we need help with to keep our group going.

•    We often need help transporting dogs from shelters to foster homes, or to vet appointments. We welcome any donations of food, beds, treats or other supplies.
•    We need help at our adoption fairs, both in working with the dogs and with applicants.
•    Volunteers can help at all phases of the adoption process, including doing the home visits.
•    Volunteers are always needed to assist us in fundraising and special events.
•    Volunteers can help with office work including: returning phone calls, answering emails, etc.

If you are interested in helping dogs and making a difference, send us an email and let us know how you can help out.

Help AIF Help Senior Dogs

AIF believes that senior dogs ROCK! They are chill and way more manageable than a puppy. Unfortunately, old dogs are dumped at shelters because veterinary care is high, and their owners don’t want to pay for it. So we immediately take them for a pricey check-up that includes the following services:

a senior blood panel
a urinalysis
their heart, teeth, ears, and eyes checked
a dental done that usually includes extractions
This type of vet visit and dental is over $1000 every time. Some seniors who have never had their teeth cleaned, need dental surgery and that can start at $2000. Bacteria in the mouth can enter the bloodstream and travel to your pet’s internal organs, causing liver, heart, and kidney problems, eventually death.

Beyond all of this care, we also use a holistic that has been helping us cure dogs that vets say they can’t. We supply our foster homes and not a kennel, with the best quality food, medication, and supplements to rehabilitate the seniors to TIP TOP shape.

Adopters can feel completely comfortable adopting any dog from us because of all the care we put into rehabilitation before adoption.
